Brief Definition
A Power of Attorney (POA) is a legal document representing a written authorization given to another person to act on your behalf in private, business or legal matters. It is an excellent option to hand over your responsibilities to a person you trust in case you come across uncertain situations in the future where your decision-making capability is hampered.
Are there unique document recommendations for a divorced individual to marry abroad?
Yes! There are a few unique documents that an unmarried person would not have to carry with them for marriage certification in foreign countries. On the contrary, the respected authority of the country may ask for them from a divorced person or, in some cases, even a true certified copy of them to move forward with the procedure.
These unique documents are Marriage Certificate, Divorce Certificate and/or Divorce Order. They are needed to accompany the person’s claim of being in no current marital relation.
What does the Marriage Abroad Service include?
Marriage Abroad Service from Notarizers includes complete guidance, assistance, and proper notarization of your documents by experienced and authorized experts. We can notarize all the documents you will carry for the smoother marriage registration process in the destined country.
Our notary experts will also assist you with making copies of the essential documents such as your birth certificate, Driver’s License, Declaration of Marital Status, Statement in Lieu of Certificate of Non-Impediment to Marriage Abroad and Passport. They will further perform the task of getting those copies certified as a true copy under their notary authority. This act will be helpful if the destined country has a reason not to trust your identification documents and asks to get them certified by the appropriate authorities.
Is the Marriage procedure the same in every country?
No! This is one of the biggest misconceptions of many people. The procedure of marriage with a foreigner in two countries may be a bit similar to each other, but there are minute changes in the overall marriage requirements and policy in every country; therefore, we advise you to contact the appropriate Embassy or Consulate and make sure that your preparations meet all the requirements.
