Notarizers is accredited by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to provide fingerprinting services to clients. Fingerprinting is the process of recording an individual’s fingerprints using either electronic means or by using the ink and roll method. Our team of specialists provides fingerprinting services by using the latest biometric equipment to ensure high-quality prints.

Why Do You Need Fingerprinting Services?

Clients may require RCMP-accredited fingerprinting services in many cases. Some of the areas in which our professionals provide expert fingerprinting services include:
  • Canadian citizenship
  • Canadian immigration
  • Adoption
  • Criminal pardon applications (record suspension)
  • Criminal background check
  • Name change applications
  • Employment in Canada
  • Visas/Waivers for foreign work, education, or travel
  • Volunteer employment
  • Security screenings for government contracts
  • Business licenses
  • Canadian permanent residence

The fingerprinting process involves comparing the fingerprints obtained from the client with numerous other fingerprints stored in various databases. The comparison takes place with electronically-stored fingerprints as well as those acquired by authorities by traditional methods of ink and roll, and those stored after being photographed digitally.

Notarizers offers premium-quality electronic fingerprinting and submission services along with ink and roll fingerprinting services wherever required.

Primary Areas that Require Fingerprinting

Here are a few key areas that require RCMP-accredited fingerprinting services:

  1. Criminal background check – You may be required to get a certified background check done for various purposes such as employment, education, adoption, or volunteering, among others. Notarizers’ fingerprinting professionals can help you get a complete background check done by digitizing your fingerprints and sending them to the RCMP to obtain the certification.
  2. Immigration or visit – People who have submitted their application for visiting or immigrating to Canada permanently or temporarily (permanent residence, work permit, citizenship, etc.) must have their fingerprints submitted to the authorities before having their application approved. Your application will only be considered after your fingerprints have been verified.
